SAIELN is an international non-partisan and non-profit organization with the following objectives:

-To promote, research and practice of international economic law (IEL) and international relations by engaging different South Asian academic IEL participants (university/college academics and students, academically inclined IEL government/IGO/NGO officials, and academically inclined IEL practitioners);

- To foster, engage and encourage academic understanding of international economic law in South Asian context;

- To promote, instigate and support various IEL activities in South Asia including activities such as conferences, workshops, publications, competitions and relationships with other IEL bodies.
